MUMBAI – Wood-based fibre manufacturer Birla Cellulose has joined the Circular Fashion Partnership, a project announced late last year that will focus on establishing more robust recycling infrastructure in Bangladesh, and exploring circular business opportunities within the fashion sector.

Birla joins a collective of recyclers, manufacturers and brands, including H&M, C&A, Bershka and Pull & Bear, that have all given their backing to the initiative, kick-started by the Global Fashion Agenda (GFA).

“Birla Cellulose will work closely with the various stakeholders in building sustainable businesses capable of consistently delivering best in class environmental performance, underpinned by responsible stewardship philosophy,” said Birla Cellulose business director Dilip Gaur.
