KARACHI – Pakistani textile manufacturer AGI Denim has been awarded gold level certification from the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute for it’s HempX fabric.
The award recognises environmental and social performance across five sustainability categories – material health, material reuse, renewable energy and carbon management, water stewardship, and social fairness.
HempX, a blend of organic cotton, sustainable hemp and elastane made from recycled components, is one of the first hemp materials on the market to receive gold level Cradle to Cradle certification, according to the company.
