HAMBURG – The Cotton Made in Africa (CMiA) initiative and the African Cotton Foundation (ACF) have teamed up to support training and new implementation measures conducted by cotton companies across the continent.

Actions will be coordinated by the Aid by Trade Foundation (AbTF) – the owner of Cotton Made in Africa – which will also finance new innovative projects that present an opportunity to protect soils and promote integrated farming.

ACF managing director Belinda Edmonds has described the two non-profits’ work as “perfectly complementary” and says it will help develop a prosperous, modern and sustainable cotton sector in Africa.
