TOKYO – Japanese textile conglomerate Teijin Limited has come out in support of a statement calling for more ambitious environmental targets in its homeland.
It relates to a request made by the Japan Climate Initiative (JPI) which wants authorities to strengthen the country’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gases (GHGs) from the current 26 per cent below 2013 levels to 45 per cent.
The JCI hopes to mobilise companies across industry to accelerate nationwide efforts on the environmental sustainability front.
