ARIZONA – The Sustainability Consortium (TSC), made up of academics from Arizona State University, North Carolina State University and the University of Alberta, have conducted a study to determine whether tracing technologies can help generate garment wear and durability data.

‘Project WearEver: Demonstrating the Feasibility of Using Digital Tags to Measure Clothing Use’ was supported by Adidas, KJUS, Prana and the Renewal Workshop, which donated the apparel.

Academics believe that harnessing data on the longevity of different garments can help both brands and consumers adopt more sustainable practices.
