LIVERPOOL – A circular fashion initiative underway in the English city of Liverpool has been boosted by an £18,000 grant.
The Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority (MRWA) and the Veolia Community Fund have offered the finances in support of development organisation Liverpool World Centre’s ‘Ten Tonne Challenge’.
Carl Beer, CEO of the MRWA, commented: “Textile waste is a big issue with a significant environmental impact – however, projects like the Ten Tonne Challenge can help have a real positive influence to see that waste reduced.”
