UXBRIDGE – Industrial thread manufacturer Coats has developed EcoRegen, a biodegradable thread made entirely from lyocell.
It’s the latest in the company’s range of more ‘sustainable’ fibres, having previously launched the likes of EcoVerde in 2018, its range of recycled polyester threads, zips and trims.
Adrian Elliott, president of apparel and footwear at Coats, commented: “With the launch of our new sustainable threads, we are developing products that allow our customers to design garments with a clear end-of-life strategy built into them.”
