GLOBAL - Fashion brands and NGOs are coming together for a new initiative which aims to raise at least US$10 million to improve the lives of female garment workers in supply chains.

The Resilience Fund for Women in Global Value Chains is a joint initiative from the UN Foundation’s Universal Access Project, Business for Social Responsibility (BSR), and Women Win/Win-Win Strategies.

Brands to have signed up as founding partners and investors include Gap, H&M, Ralph Lauren, PVH which owns brands including Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, and VF Corporation which owns The North Face and Timberland.
