MUMBAI – Radianza, a brand of gel-dyed acrylic fibre from Aditya Birla’s Thai Acrylic Fibre Company (TAF), has received its impact scores from Higg’s Material Sustainability Index (MSI), which highlight that the textile has significantly less of an impact on the environment than other acrylics on the market.

Higg’s MSI assesses lifecycle data across five categories: global warming, chemistry, water scarcity, eutrophication and resource depletion/ fossil fuels.

Across all of these areas Radianza outperformed others in the sector. Thomas Varghese, business head of the Aditya Birla Group, said: “This evaluation has reassured our customers that the use of Radianza in their products will improve the acceptability among the environment conscious consumers, brands and retailers.”
