LONDON – The UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has published draft guidance that details ways in which British businesses can become more transparent and ensure they aren’t culpable of ‘greenwashing’.

Greenwashing is a term increasingly used in relation to firms that purport exaggerated or vague sustainability or environmental claims in a bid to appeal to more conscious consumers.

The CMA’s recommendations are now open for consultation until July 16th, with the final guidance to be published by September.
