DHAKA - The H&M Foundation has linked up with the BRAC international development organisation to stage a three day conference to protect the livelihoods of women garment workers in Bangladesh.

The online event, entitled Stitch for RMG, begins on June 22nd and aims to bring together industry experts from around the world to protect garment workers from the threats posed to their jobs by automation.

It is being held as part of the 'Safeguarding through innovation and technology challenge', which aims to work with buyers, suppliers, and innovators to create new work opportunities for garment workers.
