DHAKA – The International Labour Organization (ILO) has launched a COVID-19 Behaviour Change Awareness Campaign in Bangladesh in a bid to educate and protect workers in the country’s ready-made garment (RMG) sector.

The campaign targets households in Gazipur and Chattogram, with the view to supporting more than 20,000 people in what are dense communities of workers.

It comes ahead of a proposed week of relaxed COVID-19 restrictions, between July 15-22, which will allow citizens to celebrate the Eid-ul-Azha festival.
