SAN FRANCISCO - Denim giant Levi Strauss is working with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to help its global suppliers fund projects to reduce their environmental impact.

The IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, is the largest global development institution focused exclusively on private sector investment in developing countries.

Levi's says it wants to help suppliers, which have already begun implementing low-carbon investment plans, access lower-cost financing to become even more sustainable.
