OAKLAND – Online consignment store ThredUp has partnered with clothing care and laundry innovator LG Electronics USA to introduce a new garment donation service to the United States.
The companies’ apparel clean-out programme encourages the public to donate their unwanted items in order to prolong their use.
Pooja Sethi, senior vice president and general manager of ThredUp’s ‘Resale-as-a-Service’, said: “At ThredUP, we believe that to take fashion from linear to circular, we need to rethink every aspect of the clothing life cycle.”
