GREENSBORO – North Carolina-based fibre innovator Unifi, whose customer base includes key brands such as: Patagonia, The North Face and Ford, has announced that its Repreve performance fibre, which is made from recycled post-industrial waste items such as used plastic bottles, has received its Higg Materials Sustainability Index (MSI) scores.

The MSI scores indicate that Repreve reduces the global warming potential by 21 per cent in comparison to generic, mechanically-recycled polyester, and by 42 per cent when compared to conventional virgin polyester.
