QUEENSFERRY – British footwear brand Hunter has launched a new sustainability strategy which centres on three pillars: to protect forests, resources, and communities.

Its ‘Hunter Protect’ manifesto details seven targets that’ll see the company increase its uptake of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified rubber, adopt recyclable packaging, and achieve carbon neutrality across its direct global operations.

Paolo Porta, Hunter’s chief executive, said: “Our history is rooted in protection. For over 160 years we have protected our community from the elements. We will continue to develop this legacy in two ways; by protecting the rights of every person in our supply chain, and by working with charities to protect the things that we value: our people and our planet.”
