WINSTON-SALEM - Athleticwear brand Champion has linked up with circular solutions provider the Renewal Workshop to upcycle discarded clothing and textiles, which would otherwise go to landfill, into repurposed garments.
The Champion Renewed collection, which features repurposed Champion Reverse Weave sweatshirts, is part of the brand’s Champion Made sustainability efforts to expand the lifespan of its apparel.
Jon Ram, group president of global activewear for Champion owner HanesBrands, said: “The Champion brand is committed to taking significant strides toward social and environmental leadership, and our partnership with The Renewal Workshop is an important step in this process.
