LONDON – The International Fur Federation (IFF) has developed Furmark, a new certification and traceability system that will verify supply chain data.
Furmark certified products will integrate QR codes that customers can scan to learn about the lifecycle of their stock, offering assurances that best animal welfare practices and environmental standards have been met.
Mark Oaten, the IFF’s chief executive, said: “This is a game-changer: if people had doubts about buying or wearing natural fur, then they have been answered with Furmark.”
