LONDON – Womenswear brand Baukjen is partnering with Oxfam’s ‘Second Hand September’ initiative, which aims to encourage a less wasteful approach to fashion by giving a second life to unwanted garments and accessories. To support the project, Baukjen says it will donate 50 per cent of the net proceeds from sales of its ‘pre-loved’ category to the charity. 

In addition, the brand has also launched its own ‘Sustainability Index’, which will enable customers to see the environmental impact of a garment’s production processes through ratings given on seven different categories of social and environmental significance.
