LONDON - Half of UK businesses admit they are not being transparent enough with consumers about the sustainability of their supply chains, according to a new survey.

The poll by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) found that 48 per cent of 318 supply chain managers did not believe their organisation was sufficiently transparent on sustainability with consumers, clients and regulators.

Almost one-in-five admitted even they did not really know how sustainable their products were - but, despite this, only five per cent felt their marketing was misleading.
