BRISTOL – The Microfibre Consortium (TMC) has today unveiled a new 2030 commitment and roadmap which sets out to align the industry, understand fragmentation and mitigate textile microfibre pollution.

The research-led NGO – which counts the likes of H&M, Helly Hansen, Finisterre and Birla Cellulose amongst its initial signatories – hopes to rally more than 200 companies and organisations by the end of the decade as it works towards annual goals.

TMC will also establish research ‘task teams’ comprising industry experts to hone in on specific research areas over the coming years, which people are encouraged to apply for in order to have a more hands-on role within the roadmap’s framework.
