LONDON – Fashion resale platform Depop has launched a new dedicated programme to help charity shops build successful online businesses.

The Charity Seller programme has been introduced to boost the revenues of charitable organisations, many of which turned to e-commerce amid store closures through COVID-19 lockdowns.

It’s estimated that the average charity shop in the UK lost over £33,000 (US$44,000) in income due to the third lockdown alone, and so impetus is on accelerating revenue generation to offset these losses.
