GLENDALE – Apparel brand UpWest and recycling and reuse solutions provider ReCircled have teamed up with materials science company Avery Dennison to leverage its digital care label technology.
The label features a QR code that links to an app which details how that specific garment was produced, how it should be cared for and ultimately disposed of so that it can be recycled.
UpWest is keen to leverage the authentication technology for a line of upcycled clothing it’s launching this month, so that consumers can be made aware of each item’s journey.
