PALO ALTO - A US sustainable textile start-up aiming to mitigate climate change by making garments capable of raising or lowering the wearer's body temperature has launched its first products.

LifeLabs Design, which seeks to bring to market the work of researchers at Stanford University in California, says its clothes can reduce our reliance on energy-intensive air-conditioning and heating systems.

Company founder Dr Yi Cui, head of the university’s advanced materials lab, has developed two unique technologies, CoolLife and WarmLife.
