KANPUR – India’s largest recycled polyester (rPET) producer Ganesha Ecosphere has teamed up with traceability solutions specialist Applied DNA Sciences (ADNAS) to leverage its polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based DNA manufacturing and nucleic acid-based technologies.
With increasing customer demand for recycled fibre, Ganesha will utilise ADNAS’ molecular tagging solutions to map the lifecycle of its materials as they move through supply chains.
“Traceability has now added more authenticity and credibility to the entire textile supply chain and is becoming an integral part of the recycling process,” stated B.P. Sultania, joint president of Ganesha Ecosphere.
