STOCKHOLM – Swedish fashion brand Filippa K has launched an online resale marketplace in its homeland as it looks to promote circularity.

The new peer-to-peer trading platform encourages shoppers to cash in on their secondhand clothing, for which they can earn 100 per cent of the selling price in Filippa K credit or 60 per cent in cash.

“By offering a marketplace for Filippa K fans to buy and sell items, we’re helping them to extend the life of garments that already exist. If we can double the lifespan of a garment, we can reduce nearly half of the impacts of its production,” noted Jodi Everding, Filippa K’s head of fabric and sustainability.
