DHAKA - Campaigners are urging denim giant Levi's to sign the new International Accord for Health and Safety in the Textile and Garment Industry to protect the workers who make their clothes in Bangladesh.

More than 150 brands and retailers have backed the new body since it was launched at the beginning of September to preserve the legally binding agreement to protect worker safety behind the former Bangladesh Accord on Fire And Building Safety.

However, the Clean Clothes Campaign is urging more brands to sign up and has singled out Levi's which this week revealed it had topped the new 2021 Green Supply Chain CITI Evaluation rankings.
