LONDON – Luxury fashion brand Burberry has unveiled a new biodiversity strategy as it looks to support global conservation efforts.

It builds on the company’s recent commitment to becoming climate positive by 2040 and will expand the scope of ongoing initiatives, such as the Burberry Regeneration Fund – which was established last year with the view to adopting low-carbon future solutions and investing in nature-based projects.

Dr Gerry Murphy, chair of Burberry, said: “Climate change is not just a future environmental risk, it’s a socioeconomic crisis that is impacting millions around the world today. Protecting, restoring and regenerating nature is key to safeguarding the planet for generations to come, and we must be ambitious in our intentions and action-oriented in our approach.”
