GENEVA - Better Cotton has released its first ever 'Impact Report' in which it highlights the benefits of cotton produced by its farmers in five countries around the world.
The report features key environmental, social, and economic outcomes achieved by Better Cotton farmers in China, India, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Turkey in the 2019-20 cotton season.
Results include cotton farmers in Tajikistan using 16 per cent less water, those in India achieving nine per cent higher yields, and farmers in Pakistan using 12 per cent less synthetic pesticides.
