AMSTERDAM – The ZDHC Foundation has announced the launch of a new tool - the Resource Efficiency Module (REM) - to help companies reduce the environmental impact of suppliers in their value chains.
ZDHC says the new tool - available through its partner, the Implementation HUB - can help reduce negative environmental impacts, including greenhouse gas emissions and climate change, water use and pollution.
It claims the largest opportunities for environmental improvements in the textile and leather industries lie within the value chain, but there is a lack of tools currently available to support this.
