NEW YORK – Footwear firm Steve Madden has launched a new peer-to-peer resale marketplace to encourage consumers to sell on shoes that might otherwise end up in landfill.

Madden’s Dolce Vita brand will introduce a platform of its own from next month as the group looks to collectively address waste by promoting circularity in the footwear sector.

The pair will work with circular solutions specialist Recurate to integrate the frameworks within their operations. Sellers will need to provide photos, a description and a reasonable price-point for their goods that Steve Madden will corroborate before a listing becomes active.
