NEW YORK – Fashion retailer J.Crew has joined the US Cotton Trust Protocol, an initiative which promotes ‘sustainable’ cotton cultivation within the United States.
The protocol’s platform convenes cotton growers, manufacturers and brands in championing localised cotton cultivation.
J.Crew will hope that by aligning with the framework, it can accelerate work towards its target of ensuring its ‘key fibres’ – which include cotton – are ‘sustainably sourced’ by 2025.
