NEW YORK - Rebag, a resale specialist in luxury handbags and accessories, has launched a new loyalty programme through which buyers and sellers will earn rewards for their support of the secondhand product platform.
The programme uses bronze, silver, gold and diamond status to reflect a user’s level of activity, with top prizes including a 20 per cent annual discount, free shipping and invites to exclusive events.
It comes after workers’ rights organisation Remake accused some in the secondhand fashion space of using circularity as a marketing ploy to trap customers in a cycle of consumption.
