ALBUQUERQUE – US textile treatment specialist Green Theme Technologies (GTT) has announced that its Empel brand of dry-finishing formulations has been tested and certified 100 per cent free of PFOA and PFOS chemicals (commonly known as PFASs) by Bureau Veritas.
The company’s line of solutions – which impart water repellency, anti-wicking and stain release properties – are deemed a more sustainable alternative to conventional textile treatments, as they’re water-free and remove potentially hazardous chemicals from the equation.
David Andreas, GTT’s chief executive, commented: “Thanks to our existing brand partners, consumers are choosing gear treated with Empel. Since we opened for business in 2017, we’ve been gaining momentum and we anticipate 2022 will be a year of strong growth.”
