AMSTERDAM – The Organic Cotton Accelerator (OCA) initiative has joined the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) and will contribute to - and make use of - the Higg Index suite of tools.
The OCA says it will work with the SAC to align on how best to use data from its farm programme in India and Pakistan to shape robust environmental and social impact goals.
Thomas Mason, OCA sustainability and impact programme manager, said: “I believe that by joining global industry groups, such as SAC, OCA can move the dial when it comes to the necessary changes that are needed across the supply chain.
