UXBRIDGE – Industrial thread manufacturer Coats has had its environmental targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
Specifically, the firm will work to reduce its scope one and two greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 46 per cent, and its scope three emissions by 33 per cent by 2030 against a 2019 baseline.
“Taking meaningful and effective climate action is vital and to have our ambitious targets validated is excellent. The future of Coats is net zero and circularity,” said the group’s chief executive, Rajiv Sharma.
