STOCKHOLM – Swedish textile recycler Renewcell has signed a letter of intent with Japanese cellulosic fibre producer Daiwabo Rayon concerning a long-term collaboration.
Daiwabo will support Renewcell’s efforts to scale its Circulose brand of recycled textile raw material and will help attract fashion brands as Renewcell simultaneously increases its output at a planned facility in Sundsvall, Sweden.
Last month, the Stockholm-based business stated that due to “strong customer interest” it’s working to double the production capacity of its new site and hopes to reach 360,000 metric tonnes per annum by 2025.
