VALENCIA – Spanish textile recycler Recover has teamed up with textile sorting company Sysav to secure consistent supplies of post-consumer waste (PCW) as feedstock.
Sysav will provide waste made up of 95 per cent cotton and has vowed to deliver increasing volumes over the coming years to help Recover meet its 2025 target of ensuring 40 per cent of its input is post-consumer material.
Helene Smits, Recover’s chief sustainability officer, commented: “It has been a pleasure working together with Sysav in the past year to help optimise their technology and processes based on our needs and we are happy to now take the first step in achieving the ambitious targets Recover has set for PCW recycling.”
