PERTH – Australian textile innovator Nanollose has teamed up with vegan leather manufacturer Von Holzhausen and will supply microbial cellulose to help its new partner explore material applications.

Based out of California, Von Holzhausen has a portfolio of alternative materials derived from plants and recycled fibres, which it’ll look to strengthen by deploying microbial cellulose in new capacities.

Von Holzhausen CEO, Vicki von Holzhausen, said: “Our exciting partnership with Nanollose furthers our commitment to solving the urgent issue of climate change by transforming waste materials into premium ones that can be used across multiple industries. We believe that partnering with Nanollose's bacterial cellulose technology will accelerate our goal of making leather extinct.”
