LAVAL – Workwear brands Klopman and TDV Industries are working with French recycler Renaissance Textile on what they ambitiously claim will be Europe's largest circular economy project in the textiles sector.
The two companies, which became part of the same group in 2017, aim to reach an agreement with their clients to take back and recycle their clothes at the end of their first lifecycle.
They will then be mechanically recycled by Renaissance Textile at its new plant in Laval, France, and used to create new garments in the project which aims to decrease greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by more than 400,000 tonnes of CO2 over four years.
