OAKLAND – The US secondhand fashion market is projected to more than double by 2026, reaching a value of US$82 billion per year, according to ThredUp's 10th annual Resale Report.

Conducted by third-party retail analytics firm GlobalData, the study aims to serve as the most comprehensive measure of the secondhand market and this year includes global market data for the first time.

GlobalData conducted a survey of 3,500 US adults, asking specific questions about their behaviours and preferences for secondhand, in January 2021 for the report, and it also surveyed the top 50 US fashion retailers and brands in January and February 2022.
