LONDON - Alpine Group, which supplies brands including The North Face, American Eagle Outfitters, Under Armour and Sweaty Betty, has become the first textile and garment manufacturer globally to adopt a new science-based sustainability management tool.

The Future-Fit Business Benchmark is a strategic management tool which aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and defines how businesses can take credible action towards a 'future-fit society'.

Alpine Group says the tool will help it achieve its sustainability goals which include switching to 100 per cent renewable energy by 2030, ensuring more than 60 per cent of polyester is recycled by 2023, and setting science-based climate change targets.
