TÜBINGEN – The CHT Group has developed a new mobile app for textile dyers that can help them to optimise the fabric rinsing process in cotton dyeing by predicting in advance the colour fastness ratings of any one given process.
The company says the free to download app, available in English, German and French, can produce “potentially enormous savings in water, energy and time – and can be achieved without the need for additional investment.”
It’s well known that using reactive dyes on cotton textiles means that a huge amount fabric rinsing is required, if a good colour fastness is to be achieved. This always consumes large amounts of water, energy and process time, together with the associated environmental impacts.
