LONDON – A biomaterial start-up has raised $4.1M in seed funding to accelerate development of its proprietary microbial textile platform which is aimed at providing the fashion industry with regenerative materials that can help reduce harmful emissions and plastic pollution.
London-based Modern Synthesis (MS) says it will use the investment to accelerate development of its patent pending microbial weaving process which uses bacteria to make customisable biotextiles and composites.
