WEST SACRAMENTO – Specialty chemicals and fibres company Kuraray has forged an agreement with US innovator Origin Materials to purchase its carbon negative materials.
Origin’s expertise lies in turning the carbon found in non-food biomass such as sustainable wood residues into useful materials while capturing carbon in the process.
The firm’s co-CEO, Rich Riley, commented: “Together we will bring to market carbon negative materials that will play a key role in reducing the climate impact of a wide array of specialty chemicals and materials.”
