KARACHI - Textile manufacturer AGI Denim has become the first company in Pakistan to earn B Corp certification for its commitment to environmental and social sustainability.
B Corps, of which there are more than 4,500 globally, are subjected to rigorous assessments which measure efforts across five impact areas: governance, workers, customers, community and environment.
The vertical denim manufacturer began the certification process in 2019 and - after introducing changes to meet B Corp standards, scored 91.4 overall, well above the benchmark of 80 required.
