LONDON - Former British MP Mary Creagh, who led the 2018 Environmental Audit Committee's (EAC) inquiry into the fashion industry, has been appointed as the new chair of the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI).
Creagh was appointed by the ETI board this week after what the organisation described as a "thorough search for a candidate to take ETI forward at a time when vulnerable workers in global supply chains need more support than ever to ensure that their rights are respected".
She said: “I am delighted to be appointed as ETI's chair and am looking forward to working with the team, board, members and wider stakeholders to improve the lives of workers around the world.
