AMSTERDAM - The Organic Cotton Accelerator (OCA) has published its new annual report in which it claims an 83 per cent increase in participating farmers despite the impact of COVID-19.
The OCA has confirmed that a total of 22,000 cotton participated in its programme during the 2020/21 cotton season compared with the 12,000 who took part in 2019/20.
It expects an even bigger jump for the 2021/22 season when it expects the number to reach nearly 80,000 farmers, according to OCA's recent Farm Programme Impact Report, although this number has still to be confirmed.
