MIAMI – Global innovation platform Fashinnovation has joined forces with authorities in Miami’s Dade County to launch a ‘sustainable’ fashion fund.
According to WWD, the new ‘Fashion Forward Fund’ will help businesses achieve targets relating to environmental and social sustainability, whether it be carbon emissions, equality or offering a living wage.
Jordana Guimaraes, co-founder of Fashinnovation, told WWD: “Our idea is to leverage companies and entrepreneurs that have strong ecological values, helping to scale up these companies and contributing to the construction of a truly greener industry that brings positive impacts to the environment and society.”
