PHILADEPHIA – US apparel retailer Anthropologie has partnered with environmental non-profit Cotton Incorporated to partake in its Blue Jeans Go Green denim recycling programme.

The initiative, which has attracted numerous brand partners including American Eagle, Pacsun and Madewell, vies to divert unwanted denim from landfill by recycling unsalvageable materials into insulation that’s used in multiple applications.

Elizabeth Preis, Anthropologie's chief marketing officer, commented: “We are thrilled to be working with Cotton's Blue Jeans Go Green programme to extend the lifecycle of jeans by collecting unwanted denim from our devoted community which will be recycled to create something new.”
